Privacy Policy

At Dufa, we respect your right to privacy and we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our visitors; this policy sets out how we collect and treat your personal information. This policy explains our privacy practices for mobile application of Dufa (hereinafter referred to as “Dufa” or our “App”).

Our App uses cookies/app data. By using Dufa and agreeing to this policy, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.

We need to process your personal information to run our business and provide our users with the Services. By accepting our Terms and Conditions of Use, you confirm that you have read and understand this policy, including how and why we use your information.

If you do not want us to collect or process your personal information in the ways described in this policy, you shouldn’t use the Services. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of any third-party websites or third-party apps.

We may from time to time, receive, store and use the following kinds of personal information:           

  • basic information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering with us such as your name, phone number, location, gender and e-mail address;

  • information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our services, e-mail notifications and/or newsletters;

  • We may collect additional information at other times, including but not limited to, when you provide feedback, reviews, comments or when you provide information about your personal or business affairs, change your content or e-mail preference, respond to surveys and/or promotions, provide financial or credit card information, or communicate with our customer support; and

  • Additionally, we may also collect any other information you provide while interacting with us.

We may combine this information from your mobile device with other information that we collect about you, including across devices.

  1. Use of your Personal Information:

We may use personal information collected from you to:

  • provide you with our services;
  • provide you with information about our services;
  • make you aware of new and additional services and opportunities available to you;
  • communicate with you by a variety of measures including, but not limited to, via phone, e-mail, messages; or
  • investigate any grievance.

The personal information provided is used to prevent fraud and to keep the services secure, to analyse and understand how the services work for registered Sellers, and to provide advertising, including across your devices and a more personalised experience for registered Sellers.

  1. Disclosure and Control of your Personal Information:

We may disclose your personal information to any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisors, agents, suppliers insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

We know that registered Sellers value having control over their own information, so Dufa gives you the choice of providing, editing or removing certain information, as well as choices about how we contact you. You may change or correct your Dufa account information through your account settings. You may also remove certain optional information that you no longer wish to be publicly visible on the App. You can also request the deletion of the personal information in your account.

Many changes that you make to your account settings are updated immediately, but some may take a few days to take effect, particularly those that impact e-mail or marketing preferences. Some major requests, such as changes to billing information or account data deletion, may require verification of identity before they can be processed.

In addition, we may disclose your personal information:

  • to the extent that we are required to do so by law;

  • in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings;

  • in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk);

  • to any person who we reasonably believe may apply to a court or other competent authority for disclosure of that personal information where, in our reasonable opinion, such court or authority would be reasonably likely to order disclosure of that personal information.

Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third-parties.

  1. Security of your personal information:

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. Your account information is protected by a password. It is important that you protect against unauthorised access to your account and information by choosing your password carefully and by keeping your password and computer secure, such as by signing out after using the services.

All electronic transactions (including financial transaction) you make will be encrypted using ‘bcrypt’ technology.

Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet. However, we will strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your password and user details confidential. We will not ask you for your password (except when you log in to Dufa).

  1. Retention of Information:

Dufa will retain your information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, for as long as your account is active, as described in this policy, or as needed to provide the services to you.

If you no longer want Dufa to use your information to provide the services to you, you may close your account. Dufa will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations. Please note that closing your account may not free up your e-mail address, username for reuse on a new account.

  1. Policy amendments:

We may amend or update this privacy policy from time to time by posting a new version on our App. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes. We may also notify you of changes to our privacy policy by e-mail.

  1. Your Rights in relation to your Information:

You may benefit from a number of rights in relation to your information that we process. If you would like to manage, change, limit, or delete your personal information, you can do so via your Dufa account settings or by contacting us. You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you. We may withhold such personal information to the extent permitted by Indian Law.

You may instruct us not to process your personal information for marketing purposes by e-mail at any time. In practice, you will usually either expressly agree in advance to our use of your personal information for marketing purposes, or we will provide you with an opportunity to opt-out of the use of your personal information for marketing purposes.

The App contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of third-party websites.

Shipping Policy

Dufa offers a platform to make it easier for sellers to get their one-of-a-kind items into the hands of buyers quickly and securely. This Shipping Policy explains your delivery obligations as a seller and your rights and responsibilities when using Dufa’s services for delivery.

We try our very best to ensure that there are no delays in shipments, but sometimes it's beyond our control.

This policy is a part of our Terms of Use . By opening an Dufa’s App, you are agreeing to this policy and our Terms of Use.

  1. Shipping Your Items

Sellers are responsible for shipping their sold items to buyers. Dufa has a tie-up with Delhivery Logistics as a shipping partner hence the Shipping Services as provided by Delhivery Logistics can be used for shipping your sold items listed on Dufa. However, please be mindful that you are ultimately responsible for making sure that your buyers receive their orders.

By selling items on Dufa, you agree to:

  1. Provide an accurate “delivery from” address which is the warehouse address in your store settings.
  2. Specify accurate processing times of delivery in your listings.
  3. Ship the items promptly after they are processed. Prompt shipping means that you schedule pickup with Delhivery Logistics & ship each item as per the processing time mentioned in your listing. If there is a change in processing time for a specific order, you need to inform Dufa to get the buyer’s consent.
  4. Comply with all local and international shipping and customs regulations.
  5. Use Delhivery Logistics only to ship to the address listed on the Order receipt.
  6. Schedule the order for Pickup with Delhivery Logistics as soon as the order is ready from your side to be dispatched.
  7. Pack the product safely & securely.
  8. Print the label from Dufa Seller App & attach it on the Package. Labels are generated by Dufa using the Delhivery Logistics API. All shipping labels will only be used to ship corresponding Dufa orders. Shipping labels may not be transferred or sold to a third party.
  9. Mark the order as Shipped once order is picked up by Delhivery Logistics. Remember that you may only mark an order as shipped after you actually have shipped it. When you mark an order as shipped, the buyer will receive a notification.
  10. Provide the accurate weight of the product so the shipping rate shall be calculated accordingly.
  11. The tracking number on the label is generated by the API between Delhivery Logistics & Dufa. If the tracking number has any issue, intimate Dufa instantly.
  12. Understand that if the actual weight of the item on pickup is higher than what was mentioned in your product page, resulting in higher shipping fee, then you as a Seller have to bear the difference in the next payment cycle whether you have charged free shipping or charged shipping to customers.
  13. Please review the Delhivery Logistics terms and conditions for more information on how they handle parcels that are lost, damaged, or delayed. Dufa shall not be responsible for lost, damaged, or delayed shipment. However, the same can be notified to Dufa and team at Dufa shall help in reconciliation to its best efforts.
  14. You are fully responsible for the contents of any parcels you ship through Dufa Seller App. In addition to Dufa’s policies, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions and any other policies or rules imposed by our delivery partner Delhivery Logistics.
  15. In an event that there is a delay from Delhivery Logistics to pick-up your package from you or if the customer did not receive the order even though you shipped it then inform Dufa immediately. Ensure you have proof that the package was sent to the customer (label, tracking, [NL2] ) and Dufa will take it up with Delhivery Logistics.
  1. Returns Policy:

By selling on Dufa, you agree to:

  1. Sellers can set their own return policies on their store page. If you accept returns, make sure you enter the time period in which you accept returns and write the policies out clearly.
  2. If you intend to change your Shop policy, please inform Dufa prior to setting your own policies. Dufa shall not be in any way party to the policies set by you. In any case, for the orders received before changing the policy, the older policy will apply.
  3. It is the Seller’s responsibility to lay out clear terms and policies on their Store. If a specific Product cannot be returned and is an exception you need to write that down in the description of your product as it may be different from your generic store policy.
  4. Please review the Delhivery Logistics terms and conditions for more information on how they handle parcels that are lost, damaged, or delayed for returned items.
  1. Fees

Sellers can choose to offer Free Shipping to customers or Charged Shipping. Sellers can choose this option per Product as well.

Understand that you can change the shipping setting for the product anytime, but any order received before the change, will take the older settings into consideration. 

Free Shipping:

    • If sellers are offering Free Shipping for a product, the sellers need to bear the shipping cost entirely.
    • Shipping cost is calculated by our Delivery partner considering the pickup address, drop address and the weight/dimensions of the parcel.
    • Delhivery API, calculates an estimated rate which will be deducted while paying the Seller. However, if there is a weight discrepancy in the actual order at the time of pickup, Delhivery will notify Dufa and the reimbursement or deduction will be taken care by Dufa in the next cycle. Ensure you weigh your products including the package size to avoid extra charges.
    • For sellers charging free shipping & also accepting returns, note that you need to bear both the Shipping Fee and Return Fee.
    • Please review the Delhivery Logistics terms and conditions for more information on how they handle parcels that are lost, damaged, or delayed.

Charged Shipping:

    • If sellers are offering Charged Shipping for a product, the customers need to bear the shipping cost entirely.
    • Shipping cost is calculated by our Delivery partner considering the pickup address, drop address and the weight/dimensions of the parcel.
    • Delhivery API, calculates an estimated rate which will be deducted while paying the Seller. However, if there is a weight discrepancy in the actual order at the time of pickup, Delhivery will notify Dufa and the reimbursement or deduction will be taken care by Dufa in the next cycle. Ensure you weigh your products including the package size to avoid extra charges. The seller and not the customer will not be charged for weight discrepancies in case of Charged Shipping as well.
    • For the Sellers accepting returns, the customer will bear both the Shipping Fee and Return Fee as long as the order is not damaged.

Fees & Payments Policy

Sellers on Dufa shall be charged for using Dufa’s services. This Fees & Payments Policy explains fees and taxes and how to pay them.

This policy is a part of our Terms and Conditions of Use. By listing products on Dufa, you’re agreeing to this policy and our Terms and Conditions of Use.

1. Prices: 

All prices of products shall be listed in Indian Rupees. “Price”, as displayed, shall be inclusive of all taxes at the appropriate rate.

  2. 2. Types of Fees:

Sellers may be required to pay the following types of fees. Please note that all fees are listed inclusive of applicable taxes.

      a. Subscription Fees:

Sellers on Dufa can opt from the following 2 (two) subscription options:

  1. The Dabbler; and
  2. The Professional.
  1. The Dabbler Subscription Fees:

The Dabbler subscription is a monthly subscription which allows a Seller to list up to 50 products (SKUs) per month and the seller will be charged a listing fee of INR 500/- (Indian Rupees Five Hundred only).

The commission fee charged to Sellers opting for Dabbler subscription shall be 15% (fifteen percent) for every product sold of respective Seller.

  1. The Professional Subscription Fees:

The Professional subscription can be opted for a month or annually, which shall allow a Seller to list unlimited products on Dufa for INR 1,500/- (Indian Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) per month OR INR 15,000/- (Indian Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) per annum.

The commission fee charged to Sellers opting for Professional subscription shall be 20% (twenty percent) for every product sold of respective Seller.

Free advertising campaigns, digital marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) will be carried out by Dufa for Sellers opting for Professional Subscription. Also, Professional subscribers shall get priority of selecting stalls during offline sales and exhibitions organized by Dufa.

There is no fee for editing a subscription. You will be charged a subscription fee whether or not the listed item are sold. It's important to note that subscription fees are non-refundable.

Both Dabbler and Professional Subscription will have access to Dufa’s Dashboards to view their sales pattern and Sellers can also avail free consultation on how they can develop their business.

Dufa understands that it has been really tough for small businesses during the covid-19 pandemic with no other avenues to sell except for going online. Hence, for the months, January 2021 to March, 2021, Dufa is supporting Sellers by not levying any subscription fees. However, for the products sold, the applicable fees mentioned below shall be charged.

       b. Commission Fees:

When you make sale through Dufa, you will be charged a transaction fee of 15% (fifteen percent) or 20% (twenty percent), of the price you display for each product listed (includes the applicable taxes on the product), based on subscription model opted by you.

Transaction fees shall be deducted from your current balance as each product sale occurs and shall be reflected in your payment account.

       c. Transaction Fees or Payment Processing Fees:

Dufa has tie-up with a third party service provider ‘Razorpay’ to process payments through channels viz., Net banking, Credit card or Debit card. Payment processing fees shall be 2% (two percent) of the listed price for domestic transactions (within India) and 3% (three percent) for international transactions. Razorpay shall levy applicable taxes on the processing fees.

      d. Cancelled orders:

In case, the order is cancelled by the Seller, then the Seller shall bear the cost of the reverse transaction fee charged by Razorpay.

     e. Shipping and Return Fees:

Sellers on Dufa can opt to charge the shipping and delivery fees to the customer or can choose to bear the shipping cost themselves by offering their customer ‘Free Shipping’. Dufa has tie-up with a third party service provider ‘Delhivery Logistics’ as our logistics partner. The package ordered shall be picked up from the pickup address which is your workshop registered with Dufa and dropped to the Buyer’s delivery address. Shipping fees are applicable based on pick-up and drop pin-codes and the volumetric weight of the product.

  1. 3. Returned Orders:

If the Buyer returns an order, the Seller will bear the return shipping fees if the Seller has decided to accept the return and if the seller offers free shipping else the buyer will have to bear the return shipping cost.

  2. 4. Undelivered Orders:

In case, the order is undelivered due to non-availability of Buyer at the delivery address, then the cost of return shipping will be borne by the Buyer. .

  1. 5. Fee Avoidance

Any action by a Seller to avoid paying a fee is considered fee avoidance and is strictly prohibited by Dufa. This includes, for example, encouraging Buyers to purchase an item listed on Dufa through any another venue. A transaction initiated on Dufa may not be completed off Dufa. The price stated in each listing description must be an accurate representation of the sale. Sellers may not alter the item’s price after a sale for the purpose of avoiding Dufa transaction fees.

  1. 6. Paying your Fees:
    1. a. Transaction, Shipping and Commission Fees:

Dufa will directly deduct the Transaction, Shipping, Commission Fees plus applicable taxes before making the payments to the Sellers. The payments will be made 30 (thirty) days after the transaction is completed to give enough time for any returns or cancellations of orders by the Buyers. The payment will be made to the account setup by the Seller with Dufa.

b. Subscription Fees:

Dufa will charge Sellers, the subscription fees every month or every year based on the subscription plan opted by Seller. In case, the Seller does not pay the fees or renews the subscription within 10 (ten) days of the respective subscription due date, the online shop of the Seller with Dufa shall be inactivated. The same can be easily activated on payment of subscription fees.

  1. 7. Taxes
    1. a. Dufa would charge applicable Goods and Service Tax (GST) of 18% (eighteen percent) on the subscription fee which Seller can claim as input credit.
    2. b. Dufa would charge applicable GST of 18% (eighteen percent) on the transaction fee which Seller can claim as input credit.
